Privacy note
This note covers what visiting the site collects, what happens to a message you send through the contact form or the newsletter field, and how to reach us about your own data. Last updated 16 September 2026.
Visiting the site
We count page visits and nothing else: the page, the referring page, browser and device type, and an approximate location from the IP address. No advertising, no third party tracking, and nothing sold to anyone. Change your choice from the link in the footer at any time.
The contact form
When you send the form, we keep your name, work email, organisation and the text you wrote, so the partner covering your sector can reply. We pass it to nobody outside the four of us. We need the consent box ticked before we can keep the message.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, we keep your address for this list and use it for nothing else. The unsubscribe link is at the foot of every note we send.
Published case files
Case files on this site are closed matters, published with the client's agreement after the file is closed. Access to an open file is set by the engagement letter, and it does not change later without the client saying so.
How long we keep it
A message stays on file for as long as the matter is open, and for a reasonable period after, the same record period our clients ask us to survive an audit. Analytics data is aggregated and is not tied back to a single visit.
Your rights
Write to office@plenary.co to ask what we hold on you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it.
